Towards a new era of gaming
The Finnish gambling system will be reformed on July 1, 2027, when the new Gambling Act comes into effect. This change will also impact Veikkaus' operations.
We are preparing for this change well in advance and implementing the necessary updates in phases to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible for you.
During the latter part of the year, our games will be divided into two separate groups: lottery games, scratch cards, and retail slot machines will form one entity, while betting games and the online casino will form another.
As part of the reform, Veikkaus' gambling business and customer accounts will be divided into two new subsidiaries starting in July 2027.
Our digital services are getting an update soon
The first changes will begin to appear later this year as we revamp our app and website. Following these updates, games will be available across two separate apps and a redesigned website.
The new apps have been designed from the ground up to better meet our customers' needs.

We will keep you regularly informed about upcoming changes. Updates will be posted here on our site, and we will also send you messages and instructions well in advance, for example, when a new app or service is launched.
Lottery and Instant Games
The current Veikkaus app will be updated to the new Lotot & Arvat app, where you will find all lottery and draw games. The new app offers a clearer and faster way to play your favorite lottery games and instant games. In the new game views, you can find features like group games and your favorite lines quickly and easily.
Sports Betting and Online Casino
Sports betting and online casino games will move to their own Vedot & iCasino app and will be removed from the current Veikkaus app. You will be able to find your favorite sports, games, and betting markets quickly. You can manage your deposits and account details in one place and track your gaming activity in more detail.

Our website will also be updated later this year. Moving forward, you will easily find lottery and draw games, as well as sports betting and casino games, in their own dedicated sections on our website.

You will continue to log in to all our digital services using the same credentials, and you will have one customer account and one gaming account. There will be no changes to customer accounts or responsible gaming tools during this year.
